Receptions are held in the packinghouse, originally built in the 1930s to pack and store apples (we still make cider here). The rustic exterior honors the packinghouse's beginnings, while the interior surprises and delights with warm lighting, wide-plank hardwood floors, walls of windows and french doors, and modern amenities (large restrooms, heat and a/c, and a sound system). The contrast between the exterior and interior is reminiscent of the speakeasies of the '20s and early '30s.
Remembering the history of the speakeasies and illegal distilleries of the time, we were inspired to create The Barrel Room, our renovated 1000 sqft space located directly under the packinghouse and connected to a large patio. This area, which used to be a huge operational cooler for our commercial orchard, now offers a fun cocktail hour space for your guests.
